Lara Arias

Lara Arias graduated from Technical Forest Engineering, and after that, took a Master in Golf Course Maintenance. She completed her training in the United States at the Ohio State University. She has worked on courses such as Robert Trent Jones, TPC Scottsdale, Quail Hollow & Le Golf National. Experience in PGA Tour, PGA Championship, European Tour and Ryder Cup tournaments. She is currently the Superintendent of Marco Simone in Rome, home of the 2023 Ryder Cup.

Carlos Arroyal

Carlos Arroyal is an agronomist and forestry engineer, specialized in Sports Surfaces with a Master on this field, at Cranfield University in the UK. He has been involved in very important projects such as supervising and managing the construction, grow-in and maintenance, of Education City Golf Club in Qatar, and more recently his job as superintendent at the most exclusive golf course in Morocco, Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. He has volunteered at the 2018th Ryder Cup at Le Golf National (Paris), the Open de France, and the Qatar Master.

Carlos is currently working as an Agronomic Consultant for T.A.S. which allows him to continue to gain level expertise on the management and preparation of top-quality golf courses around the world.

Fabien Maisonny

Growing up at Golf de Morfontaine, Fabien has been around golf courses all his life. After starting working at Morfontaine, Fabien went to work at Sunningdale Golf Club where he qualified as a Greenkeeper and gained experiences on professional golf toutnements. After 7 years, Fabien  joined Burhill GC as Head Greenkeeper. During his time at Bruhill, Fabien volunteered at Le Golf National for the Open de France 2017, 2018 and The Ryder Cup 2018. Fabien started working for Turfgrass Agronomy & Services in June 2019 as Golf Course Superintendent.

Iain Biggs

7 years ago, Iain joined the greenkeeping industry in 2012. He started working at Trent Park GC where he stayed 5 years achieving his NVQ Level 2. In 2017, Iain joined Chesfield Down Golf and Country Club where he attained his spraying licence and gained additional practical experience. In 2018, he was volunteering at the BMW PGA at Wentworth. In August 2019, Iain has joined Turfgrass Agronomy & Services as a qualified and experienced greenkeeper.

Luis Doncel

He is a qualified agricultural engineer, graduated in Agronomy and Master in Golf Course Maintenance.  He has been linked to golf since 2012. Luis worked at Le Golf National, as an assistant and team leader for the Ryder Cup 2018; Royal Golf dar Es Salam as superintendent of the blue field for the LET tournament April 2019; Les Bordes, Golf de Morfontaine and St Nom la Bretèche as irrigation specialist and surveyor to create irrigation system as-built drawing.

Steve Okula

Born in the USA, Steve spent his childhood playing golf and caddying before going to work on the golf course maintenance crew. After graduating with honours, from the University of Maryland, he began his professional career in agronomy, becoming a golf course superintendent in Florida at age 26. Since then, Steve has worked in numerous countries in golf maintenance, design, and construction. He has been host superintendent at USPGA Tour, US LPGA Tour, and European Tour events on both sides of the Atlantic. Steve is recognized by the GCSAA as a Certified Golf Course Superintendent and by BIGGA as a Master Greenkeeper.

George Threadgold

George has enjoyed a 10 years career within the horticultural sector. Starting by doing work experience on the pitch at Stevenage Borough Football Club, he then moved to doing the rounds of public dwellings with a local gardening company. From here George has worked on many property’s from small gardens to large country estates including working as a Head Gardener at Queen Hoo Hall in Hertfordshire. With excitement George joined T.A.S in 2019 to final pursue a long standing of his dream, to study Sport Turf Management and to also work on some of the best quality playing surfaces in the world.

Elliot Clay

Elliot has been working for Turfgrass Agronomy & Services since March 2022. Elliot has been working as greenkeeper for 3 and half years. During that time, he has found a passion for greenkeeping and golf. Elliot has always enjoyed working outdoor and he has always participated in outdoor activities such as fishing and golf. Elliot currently hold a level 2 greenkeeping and he is working to achieve his spraying licence and further education.

Jude Boag Matthews

Growing up in a family of golfers, Jude spent a large amount of time on golf courses where he discovered a passion for greenkeeping and then completed his level 2 apprenticeship at Oxford Golf Club, that included a Jamera pro golf tour two years running. Jude then joined Turfgrass Agronomy & Services as the youngest member of the team in October 2021.

Ross McGreevy

Ross has played golf for numbers of years with his family. His passion for the game has brought him to join Turfgrass Agronomy & Services as an Apprentice Greenkeeper in May 2021. Ross is currently doing his level 2 greenkeeping.

Jeremy Goffette

I am a sports turf engineer specialized in sports turf course construction and management. Working for T.A.S (Turfgrass Agronomy Services) gives me the possibility to be a consultant for golf course construction and renovation projects.

From Golf courses to Sport pitches my professional experiences are very complete in sports turf. I have many experiences such as a Superintendant of a high end 36 hole private members course, supervision of a 27 hole golf course construction as well as supervision and grow in of a of a Premiere league hybrid football pitch playable in 4 weeks. After all different projects in which I participated, organization is key to the success of all successful projects , I can not emphasize this key element enough.

I have also participated in the preparation of numerous European Tour and PGA tour events (Ryder Cup, US Open, French Opens).

JON RAHM

Sylvain’s relationship with Nicklaus Design began in 1990, where he started as Assistant Superintendent at Paris International Golf Club in France, and later became Superintendent. Sylvain then worked at Hanbury Manor in England, Palazzo Arzaga in Italy and most recently at Polaris World in Spain as Project Manager and Director of Golf Course maintenance. There, Sylvain oversaw the construction of six golf courses over a six year period.
